I stumbled across Mat Pilates while training to become a Personal Trainer. I had some free time and thought, “Why not try something completely different?” From the very first session, It was like nothing I’d ever tried before.
I’ve strength-trained in gyms for over seven years, and Pilates has had a huge effect on the way I train. It’s made me far more aware of how my body moves, bringing in key elements like core engagement, breath control, alignment, and a better understanding of how to move efficiently in and out of the gym.
It’s given me a deeper appreciation for mindful movement, and it’s something I now love helping other women discover for themselves.
Why I Fell in Love with Pilates

Pilates won’t just make you flexible or improve your posture, it’s an amazing tool for boosting strength training.
With its focus on core control, alignment, and mindful movement, Pilates helps you lift more efficiently, reduce injury risk, and feel stronger both in the gym and in daily life.
Real strength isn’t only about heavy weights; it’s about stability, balance, and understanding how your body moves. Pilates gives you that awareness. It teaches you how to stabilise properly, move with intention, and stay in control under load, all of which make your strength training safer, smoother, and more effective.
Pilates + Strength Training =
Game Changer
Why I Teach Pilates
I became a certified Pilates instructor because it completely transformed the way I understood strength, movement, and control and once I experienced that shift, I knew I wanted to help others feel it too.
Teaching gives me the chance to support women in building functional strength. I love guiding people through those small, precise movements that make everything feel more connected; when the core engages properly, the lift feels more stable, and the body moves with confidence instead of tension.
Seeing someone realise they’re capable of more than they ever imagined is, and always will be, the best part of what I do.
